I learned a lot in my model un class. I learned about how important it is for countries to communicate with each other for help. I learned about different countries positions on different typs of conflicts. I think that tis Model UN applies to every day life because every day their are issues going around the world and are trying to be solved. Model UN also aplies to very day life in the way of meeting new people and also helping people. Model UN has helpd me learn how to write a position paper of your selected country.

Position Paper
Ethiopia is located in the Horn of Africa. The population of Ethiopia is about 90,873,739. CIA World Fact Book.)Ethiopia is a undeveloped country and also very poor. It has issues with the lack of drinking water. Also the climate in Ethiopia is very hot and dry Ethiopia. Also Ethiopia has another issue with genocide. People each day are getting killed and dying of thirst do to the lack of drinking water. In Ethiopia people are being forced to move out their homes into other countries that lack the accessibility of clean drinking water and other basic needs people need for living.
Ethiopia’s position on this topic is to encourage people to donate money for our fellow Ethiopians. Ethiopia’s goal is to bring water to all the people of Africa who are in need for drinking water. Ethiopia is currently putting shallow wells with hand pumps to provide access to drinking water. Ethiopia is being helped by the (CHF) International. Ethiopia is currently trying to get more money raced so that more wells could be created and will provide drinkable water for people in great need of it.
Ethiopia’s solution for this issue with drinking water is to encourage as many countries to donate more money to organizations that will help provide drinking water for Ethiopia, by getting more funds to use money on the construction of more water wells. Ethiopia also thinks that armies with aid should be sent to help. Also peace keepers could be sent to maintain the peace between all the people. Armies are needed for protecting Ethiopian citizens do to the issue of genocide.
